Feed The Hungry Globally

Where is this turmoil happening? All over the world.
📍 In Yemen, 20.7 million people are in need of dire assistance. 4 million people are internally displaced. 2.3 million children are at risk of starving to death. Yemen is currently facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
📍 In Somalia, people suffer from over a decade of droughts. Armed conflict and drought drive humanitarian need and displacement across the country. 5.6 million are estimated to be food insecure, with the number increasing each year…
📍In Syria, thousands are dealing with severe food insecurity. The Syrian Civil War and other factors continue to disrupt life in Syria. Almost 60% of Syria’s people lack secure access to sufficient safe and nutritious food…
📍 In Pakistan, 20.5% of the population is undernourished - that’s 40 million people. 38% percent of children in Pakistan under the age of five are stunted due to undernourishment and malnutrition.
📍 In Lebanon, the World Food Program (WFP) has warned that acute food insecurity is likely to deteriorate over the coming months. Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Lebanon make up most of those who are facing hunger and malnutrition.
📍 In Palestine, with the ongoing conflict and displacement Palestinians, 32% of people are food insecure, while 68.5% of the population in Gaza alone are food insecure, especially among women.
📍 In Afghanistan, the country is facing a hunger crisis after recent political and economical changes. Unable to sustain their families and themselves due to lack of jobs, hundreds of people are taking desperate measures to feed their families.
📍 Even in the United States & Canada, over 42 million people, including 16 million children are food insecure. And with the ongoing effects of the pandemic, that number continues to slowly increase.
These are just a few examples of countries facing Hunger.
Do the numbers not add up? Do the facts not speak volumes?
The world has enough food to end world hunger. Yet hundreds of millions of people are still suffering, still dying.
Will we let their cries for help go unanswered? Or will we stand together to help in any way we can?
The Prophet (peace be upon him said: “When you pay the Zakat of your wealth, then indeed you have fulfilled your responsibility” [Tirmidhi]
When you donate your Zakat, you are fulfilling your responsibility. And what better way than to feed the hungry and helpless?
In Yemen, according to Fatima, her family has only been able to live hand to mouth on certain days and without food at all on other days. Her 3 children are starving and extremely malnourished as they do not have the proper nutrients they need to live. Fatima's family is one of the THOUSANDS of families that are living below the poverty line.
Fatima says:  "We want to thank you for your donation and the organization that resulted in this program of giving food packages. May Allah reward you all. I ask Allah to accept your efforts & I pray for your wellbeing and that you may never have to face for a second what we go through every day."
Now imagine all the prayers and dua's Fatima and her children must have given to the people who saved their lives?
Save another family like Fatima’s.

The Time To Act is Now
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect millions of lives, impacting climate change, creating economic changes, and intensifying conflict, world hunger is only worsening. With prices of food going up, medical debt, and more, people are struggling to make ends meet.
And now, Ramadan, the month of fasting, is right around the corner. When we fast, we feel the hunger and thirst that so many others feel around the world. But the difference is, at the end of the day, we go to bed with a full stomach, and know that another meal awaits us in the morning.
As we prepare for Ramadan, stocking up on dates and food, let us also prepare by humbling ourselves through our Sadaqah and Zakat. Let us do what we can to help reduce those numbers.
Whether it’s $5 a day or $500, every donation counts. Every dollar is a good deed.
Will you let these children go hungry?
Will you share a meal with them?
Have mercy on these children without your help they might not live another day.

May Allah SWT reward us all for our good deeds and acts of Sadaqah Jariyah, and may He grant us all a place in Jannah. Ameen.🤲
